Youth Leader Screening for "To Save a Life"
Cleve and I recently saw an incredible movie made by a church in California. It is called To Save a Life, and it opens nationwide on January 22nd. This movie deals with teen issues like no other, in a very realistic way. The Warren Baptist Church Student Ministry Team is making an effort to bring it to Augusta, but they need your support. If you are a pastor or youth ministry leader, they have another screening of the movie you can attend on Thursday, December 17th. To reserve a spot, call the church at (706) 860-1586 or e-mail students@warrenbaptist.org. This screening is for adults only and not for teenagers. Find out more about the movie at www.tosavealifemovie.com.
The Ped Egg

My wife told me that I needed to do something about my crusty, calloused feet. I refuse to go for a pedicure, but I did find the Ped Egg! It is an As Seen on TV product, and I'm happy to say it works. This could be a good stocking stuffer for the crusty-footed guy in your life. Check it out at http://www.pedeggsale.com. You can buy it locally at just about any store that sells the As Seen on TV products.
Charity Gift Catalogs
If you're looking for a unique gift idea for that hard-to-buy-for person in your life, you might consider a charitable donation in their honor to one of many organizations that have gift catalogs:
Samaritan's Purse
World Vision
Golden Harvest Food Bank
Food For the Poor

Cheapie of the Week - 12/14
Jenny Browder correctly guessed that the Cheapie of the Week is Select Harvest Campbell's Soup. It is on sale at Publix through Tuesday (12/15) as a "Buy 1, Get 1 Free" special. Buy just one for $1.20 and use the printable $1 off coupon to get a can of this soup for $.20 plus tax.
Wacky Christmas Party Gifts
We had our staff Christmas party over the weekend and there were several wacky gifts in our White Elephant/Dirty Santa exchange. Cleve ended up with a gift that he originally gave three years ago and has been regifted every year. Find out about our wacky gifts and tell us about yours on Tuesday morning at 7:10.
A Visit with Matthew West
Tuesday morning at 6:10 and 7:40, we'll chat with Matthew West. He has developed a campaign that encourages us to "Give This Christmas Away," so we'll chat about that and other stuff tomorrow morning.
Cheapie of the Week - 12/7
Darryl Hopperton of Aiken correctly guessed that the Cheapie of the Week is Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate. Target has a printable $1 off store coupon that you can use on this deal (look for the coupons link at the bottom of their site). The Milk Chocolate variety was marked $1.02 on the shelf at the Evans Target, but when I got to the register it rang up $.97 and the coupon adjusted to $.97, so the hot chocolate ended up being free. I don't know if the price is the same at the Augusta and Aiken Target locations, but with the $1 off coupon from their website, you should be able to get a great deal either way.
