Help for Single Moms

Jodie posted a note on the 88.3 WAFJ Facebook Fan page wanting to know about resources that are available to help single moms who are struggling financially. Your calls this morning helped us find out about several resources:
-First Baptist Church of North Augusta does a Single Mom's Oil Change for free. Call them at (803) 279-6370.
-Wesley United Methodist Church in Evans has health clinics and assistance with transportation. Call them at (706) 869-0888.
-United We Care in Grovetown can provide items from their thrift store for those who have a need. Call them at (706) 854-8852.
-Freecycle at www.freecycle.org is an e-mail group where you can get things that people no longer need for free.
-The Salvation Army provides Christmas assistance. Call them at (706) 826-7933.
-New Life Christian Center in Augusta participates in Angel Food Ministries, which provides discounted grocery items. Call them at (706) 738-2526.
