Things We Talked About Today

-A study out this week says that nearly 75% of Americans are carrying a level of stress that is deemed to be unhealthy. Even worse, the stress is taking it's toll on our kids. So this morning, we talked about the different ways you handle stress. You can join the conversation on the 88.3 WAFJ Facebook page.

-Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is coming to Augusta to build a home for a family from December 3rd to December 8th. You can be a part of the project as a volunteer or as a spectator. Visit http://www.extrememakeoveraugusta.com/ for details. There's a big pep rally for anyone interested in volunteering on Thursday, November 18th at 6 PM at Diamond Lakes Recreation Community Center.

-A Night with the Chapmans is tomorrow at 7 PM at Millbrook Baptist Church in Aiken. Tickets are available at http://www.wafj.com/ and will be available at the door. Doors will open at 6 PM.
-Our movie guy, Bob Waliszewski, from Focus on the Family reviewed Unstoppable this morning. While he said it is a well-written, well-acted film, it is filled with profanities and only merits a 2 out of 5 for family-friendliness. You can get reviews on movies currently in theaters at http://www.pluggedin.com/.

-We had a great time ringing bells for the Salvation Army at the kickoff for their Kettle Campaign. They're looking for church youth groups who would be interested in ringing bells on Saturday, December 11th. It is a competition to see which youth group can collect the most money at their kettle. You can find out more by calling Beth Bargeron at (706) 922-0170.

Coming up Monday...The Mindbender at 6:10 and the Cheapie of the Week at 7:40. Plus, Monday kicks off collection week for Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. Join us at 7:10 to hear the story of a young lady whose life was changed after receiving a shoebox.
