It's Tax Time

I finished our taxes last night, and for the second year in a row, I used a great website that lets you e-file your federal return for free. There is no income stipulation on this. The site is www.taxact.com. You can find other free federal and state tax sites through the IRS website at www.irs.gov. Most of these are dependant on your income.

Valentine's Weekend at Ridgecrest, NC

Since the Weekend to Remember in Hilton Head is sold-out, you might want to consider another getaway for Valentine's Day. Check out the Valentine's Weekend Retreat in Ridgecrest, NC sponsored by Lifeway.

Coming up Tuesday Morning

6:10 - We'll chat with our friend Karen Eberl who just returned from Haiti with New Covenant Presbyterian in Aiken. She'll share some of what happened while they were there on a medical mission.

7:10 - Millie from the Family Y joins us for another Team Lean update. She'll tell us how much weight Augusta lost last week and give us the scoop on this week's free community health presentation.

8:00 - Listen for the next couple to be chosen as our Sweethearts of the Day. Names are chosen from the entries for our Valentine's Beach Escape at www.wafj.com. If we call your name, you'll have 8 minutes and 8 seconds to call us back to claim your prize and qualify for the grand prize drawing.

Cheapie of the Week - 02/01

Mindy Roberson of Augusta correctly guessed that the Cheapie of the Week is Kraft Shredded Cheese. Kroger has it on sale through Saturday (2/6) for $1.49 a bag. Use the $1 off 2 printable coupon to get it for $.99 per bag. Then, if you buy 10 of the selected items (including the cheese) as part of the Mega Sale, you'll get another $.50 off each bag, making them $.49 per bag plus tax.
