-Seventeen year-old Scotty McCreery of Garner, North Carolina was crowned the winner of American Idol last night. He has professed a deep faith in Christ and now has a huge opportunity to touch hearts around the country. Click here to see Scotty performing his first single "I Love You This Big."

-New yellow traffic signs are popping up all over Aiken County, but some people don't like the look of them. Read more

-Josh Ferrin found $40,000 in the attic of his newly purchased Utah home. Rather than keep it for himself, he returned it to the previous owner's family (read more). -American Idol crowns a winner tonight and this has become one of the most interesting finales yet. The remaining two finalists, Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina, have a lot in common. Simple Cooking - Poppy Seed Chicken


3 cups of cooked chicken, chunked
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 container of sour cream (you can even use low fat)
1 teaspoon of poppy seeds

Mix it all up and put it in a sprayed casserole dish. Crush Ritz Crackers on top, and bake for about 20 minutes at 350 or until bubbly. This can be served over rice or noodles.

-Obviously, the second coming of Christ did not happen Saturday as predicted by Harold Camping of Family Radio. But now, he says the end of the world will still happen on October 21st. Thankfully, we can rely on the truth of Matthew 24:36 where Jesus says that no one knows the day or the hour when the Son of Man will return. Read more

-Diana Register of Hephzibah is the newest member of Cleve's Coffee Club. She has a special love of something called "sop bread." Listen

-Cleve is feeling the pressure to be technologically "cool" so he plans to start using Twitter soon. What will be his first tweet? John's guess is "Bring me some coffee!"

-Michael Anderson, drummer for Building 429, joined us this morning to talk about their new Listen to the Sound CD. Listen: Part 1 Part 2

-Kroger is now allowing you to stack your fuel rewards at their gas stations and save up to $1 per gallon. Also, CVS has a sale going on this week where you can get $10 in free gas when you buy specially-marked products.
