-Costco opened today in Augusta on Alexander Drive, just off Riverwatch Parkway. They had the cheapest gas in town (for members) yesterday at $3.02 a gallon!

Simple Cooking - Taco Soup


1 medium onion, chopped (use half to cook with beef)
2 lbs of cooked ground beef (with onion)
1 can of Veg-all
1 can of tomato sauce
1 cup of salsa
1 cup of shredded cheese
1 cup of crushed tortillia
1 pkg of taco seasoning
1 Container of Sour Cream

Add together the beef, tomato sauce, Veg-all and taco seasoning. Bring to a boil.
After a hearty scoop goes into your bowl, sprinkle with onion, tortillia chips, cheese
and a dollop of sour cream.
Serves 2-3

Loren Ivey of Aiken won the tobyMac tickets and told us that he just got busted by his wife for leaving candy wrappers in his pants in the washing machine. She later corrected the story by adding that the wrappers had chocolate in them!

-Disney On Ice comes to Augusta this Thursday through Sunday. Mickey Mouse will walk the red carpet on Thursday at 5:30 PM in front of the James Brown Arena. The public is invited to come and take pictures.

-Daronda Hawkins of Aiken figured out that the Cheapie of the Week is Ocean Spray Cranberry Sauce. Both CVS and Walgreens (with in-store ad coupon) have a similar deal that will get you two cans of this for $.49 to $.50 with a printable coupon.
