Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes

Next Monday begins Collection Week for the Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. Do you have some helpful tips for those who are packing shoeboxes this year? Share them with John and Cleve tomorrow morning at 6:10 and 7:40.

    As a parent of a child at EDS (the whole school participates every year in Operation Christmas Child), we've packed shoeboxes for 8 years now. The biggest tip is to choose the box first, and then measure it so you know the toys will fit. For example, Barbie dolls are longer than most shoe boxes. It's also nice to include a little note, one year my daughter got a thank-you card from Iraq from a little girl who had received her box!
