Morning Show Notes - Monday, August 22nd

-Monday Morning Mindbender
Q: According to a new survey, 70% of Women say that any Guy who calls himself a "Real Man" better be able to do this. What is it?
A: Change a tire

-John found a great way to search Craigslist. This is the website where people sell stuff, kind of like an online yard sale. He's been searching for a more fuel-efficient car and found a smartphone app called Craigslist Notification. You can set up an automatic search for the item that you want and specify multiple cities to be searched. Every time someone makes a post within your criteria, you get a notice on your smartphone. This is a big timesaver!

-Jonathan Lindman of Augusta correctly guessed that the Cheapie of the Week is Mitchem Deodorant. Walgreens (with in-ad coupon) and CVS (with Extra Care Card) have it for $1.99 per stick. Use the printable $1 off coupon to get it for $.99 plus tax.

-Borders Bookstore at the Augusta Exchange is closing, and they still have a lot of merchandise left that is anywhere between 40% and 60% off. John unintentionally started Christmas shopping early after finding some good deals there!

-Dr. Gary Redding joined us this morning to talk about a monthly luncheon he leads called Business By the Book. This will be it's 23rd season and it finds a new home at The Kroc Center in Downtown Augusta. Listen to the conversation: Part 1 Part 2

-Coming up Tuesday: Cleve adds another coffee lover to his Coffee Club at 6:50 AM. Mikeschair has the new It's a Beautiful Life CD coming out tomorrow, and the guys will join us at 7:10 AM.
