Morning Show Notes - Tuesday, January 4th

-Cleve hasn't yet taken down his Christmas tree, and we found out on Facebook that many in the 88.3 WAFJ family are trying to enjoy their trees as long as possible. Some listeners say they keep them up year round and even decorate them for Valentine's and Easter. Join the conversation on the 88.3 WAFJ Facebook page.

-Linda Justus of Grovetown is the inaugural member of Cleve's Coffee Club.

-John found himself in the Christmas clearance aisle at Rite Aid yesterday looking at the 75% off toys. Although he's usually shopping for toys for his kids, this time the large remote-controlled race car was calling his name. This morning we talked about adults who like to buy toys for themselves. One listener told us she loves Mr. Potato Head and gets a different one from her family every Christmas. Another listener said she is playing with her daughter's Nintendo Wii more than her daughter and even convinced her daughter to buy a game that mom wanted. Join the conversation on the 88.3 WAFJ Facebook page.

-Rebecca St. James has announced her engagement to the man she's been waiting for...Jacob Fink. She has long been an advocate of abstinence until marriage and has a strong ministry to young girls. Now, her dream comes true with a Christmas Day engagement. Read more

-Coming up Wednesday: Millie Schumaker from the Family Y joins us at 7:10 to talk about Team Lean, an area-wide weight loss competition. Dave Clark, who lost over 130 pounds from participating in Team Lean, will tell his story too. Plus, we get a quick and easy soup recipe at 8:10 in Simple Cooking with John and Cleve.
