Morning Show Notes - Wednesday, August 31st

-Pam Jenkins joined us this morning to talk about the "Why the Heart Matters" Women's Conference on September 17th in Statesboro. She is the guest speaker and will share firsthand how God heals a broken heart. Listen: Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4

-College football begins this week and the smack talk has already begun. Listener Cruz sent this Clemson/Carolina joke our way: Breaking News: The Clemson Tigers football practice was delayed nearly two hours today after a player reported finding an unknown white powdery substance on the practice field. The head coach immediately suspended practice while police were called to investigate. After a complete analysis, experts determined that the white substance unknown to players was the GOAL LINE. Practice was resumed after agents decided the team was unlikely to encounter the substance again! - Ouch! Needless to say, Cleve (a Clemson fan) was not amused.

-Our own Angie Sanders shared a quick and easy dessert recipe for Nana's Chip, Dip and Whip in Simple Cooking this morning. You'll find it in the post below this one. Despite John's aversion to dipping cookies in milk, he really likes this one!

-Coming up Thursday: Dean Beasley from Doctors Hospital joins us at 8:10 to talk about how your used wheelchair or walker can be used to be folks in need overseas through a project called "Wheels For the World." Also, listen in the 7 AM hour for a chance to win tickets to see the Augusta Greenjackets this weekend in their last home series of regular season play.
