Morning Show Notes - Friday, September 2nd

-College football starts this weekend. Georgia Tech actually kicked things off last night with a win over Western Carolina. Saturday's matchups include: South Carolina vs. East Carolina, Clemson vs. Troy, Georgia vs. Boise State and Georgia Southern vs. Samford. The Georgia game will be on ESPN at 8 PM.

-The Augusta Greenjackets are in their last home series of regular season play, trying to clinch a spot in the playoffs. They could use our support this weekend. Games are being played daily through Monday. More information

-Bob Waliszewski, our movie guy from Focus on the Family, joined us to talk about a couple of new releases. He likes the story in The Debt, but profanity keeps him from recommending it. Bob says this is one to consider when it comes to DVD and could be played in a Clear Play machine that will edit objectionable material. Seven Days in Utopia is a golf story, but you don't have to like golf to like the movie. This is the weekend's best pick for families.

-John and Cleve will be off on Monday and will leave you with some of their favorite moments from the past.

-Coming up Tuesday: Don't miss your chance to win tickets an exclusive screening of Courageous on September 20th in Augusta, along with a t-shirt and movie poster. Listen to win with the Mindbender at 6:10 and the Cheapie of the Week at 7:40.
