Things We Talked About Today

-Teen drivers are the group with the highest number of car accidents, and it may not totally be their fault. The AAA Traffic Safety Foundation found that parents only spend 2 hours per week, on average, teaching their teens how to drive. The AAA recommends parents spend 100 hours supervising their teenage drivers during the permit stage, although most states require only 50. Read more. -Our movie guy, Bob, from Focus on the Family gave the new movie Red a 2.5 out of 5 for family friendliness. You can read reviews on all the movies currently in theaters at http://www.pluggedin.com/.

-There's another church-led movie coming to theaters on February 25th. Cordova Church in Memphis has produced The Grace Card starring Lou Gossett, Jr. You can see the trailer at http://www.thegracecardmovie.com/. John will be seeing it at a pre-screening next week and will tell you more about it.

-Chris Tomlin will be in Aiken tomorrow night with Kristian Stanfill. Tickets will be available at the door at the USC Aiken Convocation Center. Doors open at 6:00 PM. Concert begins at 7:00 PM. Parking is $3 per car.

-The Covenant Players visited with us this morning. They are a group of young actors and actresses who spend 10 months of the year on the road traveling through the Southeast. Their plays deliver a God-focused message to a variety of audiences. You can see them on Sunday at First Pres in Downtown Augusta at 5 PM. They will be back in February and are looking for churches, prisons, schools, childrens homes and other groups that would like to host them. Their website is http://www.covenantplayers.org/.
