-The sun doesn't come up until after 7:30 AM these days, so please be very careful around school zones and bus stops. An 8 year-old boy in Thomson was struck by a car at his bus stop around 7:00 yesterday morning and is in the hospital fighting for his life. Please pray for him, the family, the driver of the car who hit him and the students who witnessed it.

-Do celebrities really seem to die in sets of 3? We're wondering if that's the case this time with the deaths of Tony Curtis, Barbara Billingsley and Tom Bosley all within the last two weeks. Obviously, death is inevitable, but it's just a strange phenomenon that seems to happen often.

-Anna Stamper shared her Crockpot Mexican Chicken in our Simple Cooking feature this week. Get the recipe
If you have a quick and easy recipe to share, send it to john@wafj.com. If we use yours, you'll get a thank you gift.

-Sharathon starts one week from today. We'll be asking for your help in raising our operating budget for the coming year. Please pray that the goal of 1,071 More Than Music Mission Partners will be met.

-The Texas Rangers need a win today to advance to the World Series. Randy Phillips of Phillips, Craig and Dean has done his part to help them get there. He wrote a song called "Do the Claw" and it talks about the thing the players do with their hands when they're congratulating another player. Randy wrote the song, but Canton Jones sings it. You can listen to it here.

-Coming up Thursday...Breast cancer survivor Angie Sanders of Graniteville joins us. She'll tell her story of finding purpose through cancer at 6:10 and 7:40 AM.
