-A study says that texting can actually help you child's ability to spell. Many of us think the shorthand texting lingo ruins them forever, but new research says kids know when to use proper spelling and when to use abbreviated spelling. (Read more) We heard from parents on both sides of the spectrum this morning. Some said that they make their kids spell out the entire word and write in complete sentences when texting.
