Morning Show Blog - Tuesday, March 1st

-John returned this morning after being off for a few days. He and Amy celebrated their 5th anniversary in Chicago. There were two observations John made while there: (1) You shouldn't wear sneakers on icy sidewalks. Boots would have been a smarter choice. After falling down on his behind, he knows that now. (2) Chicagoans don't talk to each other with words. They use their car horns to communicate. Imagine a concert with car horns, instead of singing and instruments, and you've a got a pretty good picture of downtown traffic. Besides all that, the food is incredible, including the deep dish pizza, and there's much to see and do in the Windy City.

-Pastor Brian Preveaux of Fairfax, SC is the latest member of Cleve's Coffee Club. He wrote a poem, in order to gain Cleve's favor, and it worked! Listen

-A survey by Intel (the computer chip people) says that our cell phone manners are worse than they were a year ago. The biggest complaint is people talking on their phone and driving at the same time. (Read more) So, since cell phone ettiquette is not where it needs to be, how can we improve? -John's three year-old, Evan, has his own rendition of Francesca Battistelli's "This Is the Stuff."

-Coming up Wednesday: Comedienne Anita Renfroe joins us at 7:10 and 8:40 AM. You'll have a chance to win tickets to see her, along with Mandisa, at Girls Night Out on March 13th. Plus, Tina Bledsoe of North Augusta will share her quick and easy recipe for Crock Pot Lasagna in Simple Cooking with John and Cleve at 8:10.
