Morning Show Notes - Friday, January 21st

-40% of American adults have hesitated to shake hands with someone because they were afraid of germs. What’s more, 55% of Americans would rather touch a public toilet seat than shake someone’s hand after they’ve coughed or sneezed into it. That lead to some awkward handshake moments. We heard stories of people who prefer the "elbow bump", "fist bump" or a pat on the back instead of shaking a hand. It can be taken too far, though. We heard from one listener who said she visited a church where no one wanted to shake her hand during the meet and greet time. You can join the conversation on the 88.3 WAFJ Facebook page.

-The Augusta Futurity kicks off tonight with bull riding at the James Brown Arena. There are some fun family activities you can enjoy throughout the Futurity. Check the schedule at http://www.augustafuturity.com/.

-Our movie guy, Bob, from Focus on the Family didn't have any new releases to recommend this weekend at the theater. However, you might enjoy Secretariat and Like Dandelion Dust coming out on DVD this Tuesday.

-Cleve lost 2.4 pounds at the first Team Lean weigh in yesterday. He credits the bowling game he plays with his grandson on the Wii with helping him get some exercise. One listener told us about a Jenny McCarthy workout program for Wii that monitors your activities through a webcam to make sure you're keeping pace. It has helped her lose 10 pounds!

-This Sunday, watch Augusta's Earnie Graham get a new home on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition at 8 PM on Channel 6.

-Coming up Monday: We're giving away something old and something new from Brandon Heath. You could win an autographed copy of his previous CD What If We along with the new one Leaving Eden featuring the song "Your Love." Listen to win at 6:10 with the Mindbender and at 7:40 with the Cheapie of the Week.
