Morning Show Notes - Friday, January 28th

-Our kids do things that make us mad and how we handle that anger is important. An Augusta woman was arrested for punching her son after he refused to apologize to his teacher and then hitting his leg with her car when he wouldn't hand over his phone. We talked about how to keep your anger in check when disciplining your kids. Join the conversation on the 88.3 WAFJ Facebook page.

-Bob Waliszewksi, our movie guy from Focus on the Family, joined us to talk about the weekend's new releases. The Mechanic is an assassin story that is not suitable for families. Bob was surprised by The Rite, which is a story about demonic possession. He says mature audiences might like this one. The full review is at http://www.pluggedin.com/. Also, What If, a family-friendly movie about second chances in coming to television this weekend. There will be multiple showings on GMC this Sunday evening.

-Today is the 25th anniversary of the Challenger space shuttle disaster. We remember how comforting President Reagan was in light of that tragedy. You can watch his address to the nation by clicking here.

-Now you can put the bomb on germs with the germ grenade. It's hand sanitizer that could also save your life. People may run from you though with a grenade look-a-like clipped to your belt loop. Germophobes like John will appreciate this. Click here to see it

-Coming up Monday: You'll have chances all weeklong to win a pair of tickets to the Art of Marriage, February 11th and 12th at Stevens Creek Church in Augusta. Your first chance to win is with the Monday Morning Mindbender at 6:10, and we'll be testing your knowledge of famous couples. Plus, save some money at the grocery store with the Cheapie of the Week at 7:40.
