Morning Show Notes - Tuesday, January 25th

-The place to be last night was Christenberry Fieldhouse at ASU. The Jags hosted USC Aiken in men's basketball in front of a standing room only crowd. ASU beat USCA in an overtime thriller 57-53. They'll rematch on February 2nd at the USC Aiken Convocation Center.

-John got a smartphone this weekend and is still trying to figure out how to use it. There are so many apps on it that it can get overwhelming. Teresa called to tell us about an app called "Talking Tom." Listen

-Sam Hancock, lead singer of Luminate, joined us this morning on the day their project Come Home is released. Listen: Part 1 Part 2

-The Family Y, in conjunction with Team Lean, is offering a health presentation this week called "Starting an Effective Exercise Program." Learn simple techniques to maximize your exercise results in a minimal amount of time. Discussion topics will include common misconceptions about exercise and techniques to make your cardio, resistance and flexibility training more effective and enjoyable. This is free and open to the public. You can catch it tonight at Warren Baptist Church (6:30-7:30 PM), tomorrow at Aiken Regional Hospital (12:00-1:00 PM) and Thursday at the Richmond County Board of Education (12:00-1:00 PM).

-Coming up Wednesday: It's another Winter Jam Wednesday! Chris Sligh joins us at 7:10 and you'll have a chance to win his music, along with passes to Winter Jam. John and Cleve took a tour of the Salvation Army of Augusta's Kroc Center (under construction) today, and they'll tell you all about it. Also, we'll have another quick and easy recipe in Simple Cooking at 8:10.
