Morning Show Notes - Wednesday, January 26th

Chris Sligh joined us this morning. He's one of the many artists who will be on the Winter Jam Tour when it comes to Augusta's James Brown Arena on Thursday, February 10th. Listen to the conversation (mp3 files):
Part 1
Part 2

-Many of us are getting our W-2 and 1099 forms in the mail this week, but if you plan to itemize deductions on your 2010 Federal Income Tax Return, you'll need to wait until February 14th to file. Read more

-Shepeard Community Blood Center has issued an urgent alert for blood donations. Due to the interruptions caused by our recent winter storm, the local blood supply is critically low. Only a 1 to 2 day supply is available, depending on the blood type. Lives hang in the balance when blood is not available. Be a lifesaver and donate at one of our area Shepeard Community Blood Centers. Find one at http://www.shepeardblood.org/.

-Yesterday, John and Cleve toured the Salvation Army of Augusta's Kroc Center that is under construction off Broad Street in Downtown Augusta. Wanna know more about it? Listen to John's conversation with Captain Todd Mason (mp3 files):
1. What is Kroc?  2. How did we get it? 3. Significance of the location?

-John and several others at 88.3 WAFJ, along with other ministry leaders from the CSRA, watched a special screening of The Grace Card last night. This powerful movie made by a Nazarene church in Memphis opens February 25th in Augusta and Statesboro. See the trailer at http://www.thegracecardmovie.com/.

-Coming up Thursday:  How often do you wash your jeans? For one guy, once every 15 months works just fine. We'll talk about it at 7:10. Plus, North Augusta's Money Saving Mama, Karen Green, will join us at 8:10 to talk about a special class she will be teaching next month called "Couponing for Men." As you might imagine, John is totally on board with this!
